I learned about the proportions of the face. The face is longer than it is wide, the eyes and in the middle of the length of the face, the ears start at eye level and end at the end of the nose. I also learned that the eyelids are reflections of the shape of the eye sockets.

This is my first landscape. I used layering to create the gradual change in color. I learned how to properly layer pastels to create texture.
